Stewardarr runs as a container in the environment you operate. Administrators and members use their Plex identity on that Stewardarr installation.
Keep the database, browser sessions and signing secret in a persistent data directory.
The owner completes setup with Plex; administrators and members continue to sign in with Plex.
Use configuration export for settings and a stopped app-data backup for complete recovery.

Plex provides identity, libraries, sharing and playback. Seerr continues to manage requests and its native movie and series quotas. Stewardarr coordinates access and policy across them through their documented APIs.
Members open your Stewardarr installation and sign in with their Plex identity. Their portal brings together current access, activity, requests and Sweep participation.
A tier can define Plex libraries and permissions, membership expiry, concurrent-stream and watch-time limits, plus separate Seerr movie and series request quotas. Limits can inherit defaults, be unlimited, be limited, or be disabled.
Observe-only mode lets you validate stream and watch-time decisions against real sessions first. You can then configure warnings, grace periods and cooldowns, with session termination available as an explicit opt-in.
Sweep gathers member input and presents candidates for explicit administrator review. Before a configured Radarr or Sonarr action runs, Stewardarr checks grace periods, current playback and recent-watch protection.
The container keeps its SQLite database, browser sessions and signing secret in its persistent data directory. Configuration export and full app-data backups support recovery.
